A collection of personal opinions, reflections, and epiphanies gained from decades of hands-on living. A worldview fully grounded in compassion and sound reasoning is expressed that in stark contrast, refutes common false narratives perpetuated by the far left, academia, and a sympathetic media that has abandoned professional journalism in favor of activism and influencer self-gratification. We are over-saturated with utopian thesis-driven views formulated in a vacuum, and regurgitated in never-ending echo chambers.

The latest offering from the author is a unique departure from his well-known outdoor book titles. A random glimpse into the thoughts, and observations of a left hemisphere dominant thinker. As an engineer, awarded worldwide patents, a passionate outdoorsman, and conservative by nature, these attributes are a natural fit for the project. The reader will find a frank and honest rendering of ideas and observations to ponder and consider

Random Musings of the Left Hemisphere by Mike Joyner serves as a comprehensive anthology of his reflective insights on a myriad of political and social issues currently permeating the United States. Joyner critically examines the cultural trend of “woke-ism‚" and the embracement of progressivism, contending that such movements are, paradoxically, regressing American society towards historic European models of governance that our nation=s founders fervently resisted.

The book casts a wide net, exploring topics such as the Covid-19 pandemic, gun violence, the controversial Florida voting incident, impeachment, perceived leftist privilege, the Black Lives Matter movement, and even personal anecdotes like Grandpa[s dating rule. By incorporating elements from his personal life, Joyner forges a human connection with his readers, fostering a relatable and engaging atmosphere.

True to its title, the book is a rich tapestry of diverse thoughts, presented in succinct chapters that streamline reader comprehension while maintaining their engagement. Joyner's profound passion for the well-being of his country and its citizens is palpable in each chapter. His candid and bold commentary, driven by his desire for a safer and fairer nation, is both refreshing and thought-provoking.

One particularly poignant chapter sees Joyner express a deep-seated protective instinct, asserting that as a father, grandfather, and husband, he would courageously place himself between a child and danger, mirroring the heartbreaking sacrifice made by teachers during the tragic incident in Florida.

Readers concerned about the future trajectory of the United States will find Joyner's book an enlightening and conversational read. Amid an era characterized by cancel culture and a lack of tolerance for divergent views, Joyner fearlessly articulates his perspectives on where he perceives the nation is faltering and how it can strive toward improvement.

Random Musings of the Left Hemisphere offers an insightful exploration of contemporary American issues. While Joyner's views might not resonate with everyone, they undeniably provoke thoughtful consideration. Regardless of one's political orientation, this book provides an invaluable opportunity to enhance understanding of current American challenges and the complexities of its political landscape.

"Thinking Out Loud" by Literary Titan

Random Musings of the Left Hemisphere is a collection of your thoughts and observations about the direction that the United States is headed in and what can be done to correct the course. Why was this an important book for you to write?

It is a furtherance of thinking out loud, wrestling with the constant battle of ideologies, the unprincipled and I dare say the ugly megalomania that far too many exhibit in the wanton control over others. As I refine my thoughts and put them in writing it is important that I express my voice, right, wrong, or indifferent. Sometimes I get it wrong as I may have missed something tangible and important, or take some glee and am overjoyed in being right and I find that less noble. It is my reaction to the upside-down wokeism and lack of civility that I find myself pushing back on. There is little gained in being that way with the back and forth, and in the end, a course correction back to our founding principles is the goal.

What were some ideas that were important for you to share in this book?

Much of my moral center comes from an upbringing of two upright and loving parents. Personal responsibility, taking ownership of the workload and the solutions. KIndess and care of others through actions, charity, and lending a hand, instead of handouts without oversight and accountability in the use of resources. Equal application of the law without regard to a party would be a most welcomed change.

What is one thing you hope readers take away from your book?

I have no expectation that my readers will adopt my worldview word for word, as my worldview comes from my unique collection of life experiences as each of us does. I would hope that it would cause my readers to search and research well beyond the talking heads, and the overflowing sea of propaganda. Dig deep as both sides of the ideological spectrum engage in flooding websites full of self serving support not necessarily based on facts, or based on gleamed half-truths. What is not disclosed is as much revealing, sometimes more than what is presented.

Are you planning a follow-up to this book to cover more topics that you were not able to include in this publication and new ones that are currently emerging?

I may down the road, I do have one coming out called “One Percent, and it expands on a mindset of daily improvement that can be applied to any goal one might have. Another title “Forever Roost Hunt-Honor-Respect deals with the moral and spiritual experiences of a hunter, or outdoorsman. I have many other turkey hunting-related titles in various stages of completion and some that have been in the cure for a very long time to complete.

Refreshingly Honest

I've long given up on what passes for the “news anymore, so this book stuck out to me with its interesting premise. Although I lean left politically, I thought the POVs presented helped give me insight into the conservative right and why they feel the way they do about many issues presented. Interesting read.

Interesting Perspective

This book is an interesting perspective garnered from decades of life experience. It is a right leaning perspective but if you'e open to all thoughts and opinions and understand them as such, then this book is a decent read. While the author usually distributes tomes on his pastime, hunting, this book is an insight to his world view and perspective on all matters around him. You do not have to agree or disagree: they are just thoughts and everyone has thoughts.

Author Interview

Question: This title appears to be another departure from your turkey hunting books, wWhat can readers of your other books expect to find different in this one?

Author: Yes, it is a different offering. It is a collection of societal commentary, personal reflections and a testimony and is a follow up to Random Musings from the Left Hemispher released ealirer this year.

Question: With your two major book projects on going, how did this one come about?

Author: As I write in some form weekly, it has been nearly complete for years now. It was a review of what I had set aside for each book project I have planned out to see what is needed for each, and it during this review that after a quick format excercise and review, it would be ready to publish without realizing it..

Question: Are there other projects you expect to pop up like this one?

.Author: No, not in the near future anyway. As I complete working titles it is turkey hunting centric for a good stretch. A few books will pop up when I happen to take a break, probably on a rainy weekend and just want to get something tangible accomplished. ReaperCide" and "One Percent" are nearly finished and have been for some time. "Tales From the Roost" the fourth turkey hunting stories book is 95% done, and may come out between D.D. Adams, and Empire Limbhangers Record book. The big projects are moving along, altghough D.D. Adams had a major snag with photo permissions which set it back. It will be on track after reshooting photo's. Empire Limbhangers is two thirds complete with all the data, with some interviews to finish up. it's a big book puishing towards 450-500 pages in a 10x7 format.

Question: So this book is mostly political commentary?

Author: To a minor extent, yes, but is mostly a reaction to the many upside down and absurd positions we are subjected to.I hope that the reader finds a rational and level headed reasonaing that is based on consevative principles and left hemisphere thinking.

Question: What offerings will there be, and where can they be purchased?

Author: Trade Papaerback, Kindle e-book, and laminated hardcover books are available online thru: amazon.com.
